Hypocrisy? More Like White Lies

Hypocrisy. People may see this word and react negatively towards it. The problem is, hypocrisy is being used in our daily lives, without even noticing it. People may also say, that this statement is true, but that they don’t use it; the problem is, that they do. Even thinking of using hypocrisy not to hurt other people’s feelings, is the same if using it in a negative way.

Hypocrisy is clearly used in The Awakening when Mr. Pontellier, Madame Ratignolle, and Edna, were together, and Madame Ratiognolle was showing her support towards her. But as soon as Edna left, she or

dered him to back off. I believe that this show of intolerance of him is because she is envy about the attention that Mr. Pontellier is giving to Edna. I also realized how they both control and manage Edna as if she was a puppet. They make all her decisions thinking that she has no voice when she does.
